Day 20 in a Nutshell

Today, I had mostly Drinks as a job. It’s not my favorite job there. The job seemed to like me, yet, I didn’t like the job. Filling drinks is easy but it gets much more difficult on a Friday afternoon Lunch rush. When I was dining at Hollywood Studios yesterday (Talk about a big chunk of money), they just gave us cups. Giving us cups makes everything much more easier on the staff. So easy that there is no re-stocking ice and no time taken away from cast members in order to fill a drink. The only way that I think they don’t do this at our location, is because we don’t offer refills.

Today I had for lunch, an pretty good combination of goods in my Subway Footlong.
-Turkey
-Provolone
-Lettuce
-Tomato
-Ranch
-Pepper

Drink: Pibb Xtra
Location: Mouseketeria

The sub was almost like a chicken salad in your hand. I thought it could use a little more turkey and cheese, but was really good.

Time Lapse of World of Color

Posted in Disneyland, Upcoming Attractions on January 18th, 2010 by Chris – Be the first to comment

Disney has released a time lapse video of the new World of Color show that is expected to debut later this year (dates keep changing). The platform that the fountains are on is basically an elevator. During the day the platform is lowered to the bottom. During the nighttime, the platform is raised almost to the water level. The platform right now is in what they call “Maintenance mode” which means that the platform is above the water so they can fix the fountains above the water instead of using divers.

A Hot Look at the World of Color

Earlier this week Steve Davison, from Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, posted on the Disney Parks Blog a video of some of the flame throwers that will be used in the upcoming World of Color show. Even though the standard flame throwers are pretty and pretty damn hot, I truely look forward the the rotating and moving flame throwers with color fire effects. This show looks like it’s already a big winner for Imagineering.
